Tsinandali
Tsinandali PDO is in Kakheti, Georgia’s main winemaking region, lying to the east of Tiblisi. It’s is near Telavi, Kakheti’s main town. The PDO stretches from the wooded north-eastern foothills of the Gombori Mountains, along the right bank of the Alazani River, all the way the river’s edge.
Tibaani
Tibaani PDO is for skin-fermented Rkatsiteli produced using traditional qvevri. Tibaani has a dark amber color, nutty aromas, intense bouquet, velvety taste and raisin flavours. The micro-zone is located in Shida Kakheti, the eastern part of the right side of the Alazani Valley, on the South-Eastern foothills of Tsiv-Gombori mountain range.
Mukuzani
Mukuzani PDO lies in Inner Kakheti’s Gurjaani municipality.The vineyards stretch along right-hand side of the Alazani river at an altitude of 350-750meters above sea level. The 246-hectare micro-zone covers gentle slopes as well as flat land. It’s a moderately humid region with hot summers and mildly cold winters.
Kotekhi
Kotekhi is a tiny PDO – only 14 square kilometres – neighbouring Kakheti, the largest PDO in Georgia. It’s found on the middle section of the right bank of the Alazani river, stretching from the foothills of the Gombori mountains up the wooded north eastern slopes and down to the low ground along the river itself.
Kindzmarauli
Kindzmarauli PDO is located in the Inner Kakhetian municipality of Kvareli, encompassing the southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus mountains. The vineyards are at altitudes between 250 – 550 meters above sea level, spanning the banks of the Alazani river.
Khvanchkara
Khvanchkara PDO is located in Racha’s Ambrolauri municipality in Western Georgia. The vineyards occupy the southern slopes of the Lechkhumi mountain range, stretching along mainly the right bank of the Rioni river, mostly planted at an altitude of 450-750 meters above sea level.
Kardanakhi
Kardanakhi PDO is found in Georgia’s Gurjaani municipality. The vineyards are situated on the right bank of the Alazani river, between 350-750 meters above sea level. They span the north-eastern slopes of the Gombori mountains.
